Back by popular demand the NHCTO Council will be having our First Sys & Net Admin day of the 2017-18 school year on Friday November 3rd, 2017 from 9:30am to 3pm.
Please note that our meeting location has changed from last year. We will now meet at New England College, 62 N Main Street Concord, New Hampshire 03301. Please click here for parking information.
We will discuss all things printing. As technologist you often may wonder why people need to print so much? We will discuss strategies to reduce printing with products like Paper Cut and Uniflow as well. In addition we will discuss how districts deploy, supply, repair and manage printer fleets.
Sick of printing? Want to get your district moving data automatically and electronically? This discussion is for you! This follow up from last fall's Pentaho workshop will discuss how districts have further automated data movement, used technologies like Sharepoint and Google Apps and reviewed business processes to reduce printing and streamline workflows.
School IT systems are continuing to evolve and increase in complexity. Even with the advent of cloud services there are many systems to manage. Without a robust and reliable networks cloud services can not be reached. Many schools face similar challenges and use similar systems. In an effort to insure that professional development is available to the many men and women behind the scenes the NHCTO Council provides three "System and Network Administrator Days" each year. These workshops are centered around technical discussion with technical people. Sessions are highly interactive and provide opportunity to discuss various solutions to challenges faced by IT departments.
